The Dreaming of You’ Figurine is brought to you by Ivy Bronx in Association with National Geograhic. This beautiful piece was handcrafted by Wayan Mustika in Indonesia. An artisan story card will be included with your purchase. Lost in thought, a person dreams of the beloved who seems to materialize. Faces gaze lovingly at one another, while the spiral hug clasps an imagined heart. Wayan Mustika conveys deep emotions with this elegant, yet powerful sculpture. About the Artist: Wayan Mustika; The father of a son and two daughters, Wayan Mustika is a woodcarver from the Gianyar regency. He is also a teacher at a school near his village. After school, he takes a brief rest before beginning work on his art. Mustika began by carving traditional themes, such as lord Wisnu riding on the Garuda bird. Then Mustika learned to carve traditional Balinese items on buildings. A few years later, his interest moved to modern and abstract sculptures, which he continues to create at present.
