This Hindu god Nritya Ganesha sitting on the throne statue is made of designer composite poly stone resin, hand-painted, and polished. Polystone is composed of polyurethane, resin, and mixed with powdered stone additives that give it added weight and a porcelain or “stone-like” feel. • This statue features the supreme god Ganapati seated on a lotus throne with a vahana rat at the base. The rat represents greed and our base instincts. Ganesh, the god of wisdom, helps control all the urges that the rat represents. Ganesha holds a noose, club, and modaka bowl in his hands. A ring of fire around his head represents enlightenment and the crown on his head boasts of his majesty. This statue is the personification of Guan Yin, a goddess of mercy or an Avalokitesvara. Kuan Yin is known in the East as the Bodhisattva of compassion. She is the celestial one who “hears the sounds of the world” and rescues people endangered or floundering in perilous situations.
