looks much nicer in the photo than in person. The base is nice but the globe itself is cheaply made. You can see the seams are uneven and the map is slightly distorted. Not for someone who actually wants to make use of this for something more than a decorative table piece. Very disappointed for the price.

I purchased this globe to replace a larger, older globe. I liked the way it sits on the base. My son and his family live in Singapore. When I made the screen larger to see the detailing, the first thing I saw was Singapore. I knew at that moment, this was the one!! Crazy reason, but it is a beautiful globe, and you can actually see and read the countries, bodies of water, etc. I would definitely recommend! This is 100% better than the globe it replaced.
